Description
The Goodyear Police Department has been awarded a ,000 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to support the national Click It or Ticket campaign. This funding will help provide additional officer coverage and overtime enforcement during the high visibility seat belt enforcement period, running May 18 to May 31, 2026, which aligns with the Memorial Day travel season. The campaign is part of a nationwide effort led by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to increase seat belt use and save lives.
