Pb: O sol brilhava sobre a praia de Ipanema, e o som das ondas misturava-se ao barulho das pessoas caminhando na areia.
En: The sun shone over a praia de Ipanema, and the sound of the waves mixed with the noise of people walking on the sand.

Pb: Renato, com seu cabelo descolorido pelo sol e camiseta folgada de surf, caminhava ao lado dos amigos, Luciana e Mateus.
En: Renato, with his sun-bleached hair and loose surf T-shirt, walked alongside his friends, Luciana and Mateus.

Pb: Era um dia típico de outono, com brisa fresca mas ainda quente sob o sol carioca.
En: It was a typical autumn day, with a fresh breeze but still warm under the carioca sun.

Pb: "Preciso de óculos novos," disse Renato, olhando para as barracas de acessórios ao longo do calçadão.

Pb: Renato estava dividido entre o que os amigos chamariam de "descolado" e o que ele realmente achava confortável.
En: Renato was torn between what his friends would call "cool" and what he really found comfortable.

Pb: Renato olhou para o vendedor.
En: Renato looked at the vendor.

Pb: "Qual é o preço deste par vermelho?"
En: "What's the price of this red pair?"

Pb: "O vermelho custa oitenta reais," respondeu o vendedor.
