Victoria Day Parade: Largest Ever, Safety First

The Victoria Day Parade is back, bigger than ever with over four thousand participants. However, the route has been shortened to one point six kilometers for safety reasons. The new path takes participants from the legislature down to Chatham Street, passing through Government Street, Wharf Street, and Johnson Street.

This years parade includes special additions such as a Special Olympics Torch Run, with fire departments and police from various districts supporting the athletes. The honorary parade marshal is Bob Barlow, a ninety-year-old NHL legend.

Before the main event, catch the Parade of Bands and Drum Battle at the legislature. Expect cultural groups, floats, and more in this years celebration.
