Lectio Divina Meditation: Love One Another
Description
In this meditation, I guide you through a Lectio Divina practice using the phrase: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
Lectio Divina, meaning “divine reading,” invites us to listen deeply to a short passage, allowing its meaning to unfold within us, not through analysis, but through reflection and presence.
We begin by settling into the body and the breath, creating a space of stillness and openness. From here, the phrase is introduced gently, and you are invited to notice what arises as you hear it.
As the meditation deepens, attention moves between different parts of the phrase, exploring what it means to love others, and what it means to receive and embody love ourselves.
You are also invited to reflect honestly, noticing where love may feel difficult, and what it might mean to bring a more open and inclusive awareness into those areas.
This is not about judgement or perfection, but about allowing the words to speak to your own experience.
This meditation offers a moment of calm, whether you are pausing during the day or winding down before sleep, helping you cultivate compassion, reflection and a deeper sense of connection.
This meditation supports reflection, compassion and spiritual awareness.
