Sometimes we fail to recognize
what is already present
in ourselves
and in one another.
We assume some people are gifted
and others are not.
But there is no ungifted person.
Every one of us carries
the breath of life within us.
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:7
Each of us has been given something
that can help bring life to the world.
Not only for ourselves,
but for one another.
Part of our work
is helping each other recognize those gifts
and use them in ways that bring life,
healing,
and hope.
Because communities change
and the world changes
when people are seen,
encouraged,
and invited to participate in the good they can bring.
