In this meditation, I guide you into a simple practice of choosing joy, not as a reaction to events, but as a steady presence within.
We begin by settling into the breath, allowing awareness to deepen and the body to soften. From here, the practice gently invites you to consider what it means to choose joy, even in the midst of ordinary or challenging circumstances.
Rather than seeing joy as something that comes and goes, you are guided to experience it as a deeper quality of being, distinct from fleeting emotions such as excitement or elation.
Through awareness of the breath and simple reflection, you are invited to rest in this quieter form of joy, one that brings steadiness, clarity and openness.
As the meditation unfolds, this sense of joy begins to extend outward, becoming something you can carry into the rest of your day.
