Mason James Shines in UW Huskies Spring Practice
Description
Mason James, a freshman wide receiver for the University of Washington Huskies, has been making waves this spring. Standing at five-foot-ten and one hundred eighty-five pounds, he led the pack with twenty-three catches, two touchdowns, and five fly sweeps in team drills. His speed and agility made him the fastest receiver, with a longest snag of thirty-five yards. While other freshmen like Trez Davis and Jordan Clay also performed well, James clearly stood out as the most reliable playmaker. However, he had a rough moment during the Spring Game when he muffed a punt, but coach Jedd Fisch brushed it off as a fluke. James, coming from Norman, Oklahoma, has a bright future ahead, and is expected to slot in as a backup in the slot role behind Dezmen Roebuck come fall camp.
