Published 4 weeks ago
Description
Plans are afoot for a new homeless shelter in Ennis. Clare County Council has confirmed to Councillor Clare Colleran-Molloy that it has identified a funding source for the former Grey Gables B&B on Station Road to be demolished and converted to an emergency accommodation facility. The property was purchased in 2024 for €650,000 and subject to Government approval, its anticipated construction will commence next year with an estimated build time of 18 months. Founder of the Ennis Mobile Shower for Rough Sleepers Fiona Faulkes has been telling Clare FM's Daragh Dolan that it's urgently needed.
