Kevin Thomas, a highly-ranked six-foot-seven wing, has committed to North Carolina, becoming the fourth high school recruit for the 2026-27 roster. After initially pledging to LSU, Thomas requested and received his release following the firing of coach Matt McMahon. Thomas, a three-time Florida Class one-A state champion, averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2 steals per game as a senior.
