MEXC announced plans to expand its Guardian Fund from $100 million to $500 million over the next two years while acquiring 1,000 Bitcoin to strengthen platform reserves and user protection. The exchange is building a dual-reserve structure that combines liquid USDT reserves with long-term Bitcoin holdings to improve resilience during market volatility and unexpected disruptions. The move follows strong platform growth, including more than $270 million in net inflows over the past month, according to DefiLlama. MEXC says the strategy is part of a broader push toward institutional-grade transparency, proactive risk management, and globally scalable protection infrastructure, with all reserve wallets publicly traceable on-chain.
