According to Iranian media, the problem here is that Washington’s so-called peace proposal did not look like a peace proposal at all. It looked like a surrender document. And Iran wasn't having it. Iran is holding all the cards here. So they went in the opposite direction. They want end to U.S. sanctions, the release of frozen Iranian assets, the right to sell its oil freely, and they want control of the Strait of Hurmuz.
