The Orlando Magic were undoubtedly happy with the season Desmond Bane had for them as their all-in move worked on that front. But questions still remain as the Magic remain stuck in first-round purgatory. The Magic did not get everything they wanted out of the trade despite Bane's stellar season.

The NBA Draft Lottery showed the Memphis Grizzlies did get what they wanted. They have set up their rebuild after trading Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. and now own the No. 3 pick (their own) and the Magic's No. 16 pick. It was a true win-win. But Orlando's inability to climb into the top half of the Eastern Conference playoffs leaves a lot of questions for the Magic on their end of the deal.
