Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. In this message from 1 Samuel 1-2, Pastor Chris Teien explains how God works through seasons of waiting to deepen our faith, shape our priorities, and accomplish His purposes.

As we surrender our prayers, recognize that everything belongs to God, faithfully influence the next generation, and trust Him with the future, we discover that He is working even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

#1 KINGDOM INFLUENCE BEGINS WITH SURRENDERED PRAYER

Hannah brought her deepest pain to the Lord instead of allowing bitterness to control her heart. God invites us to pour out our hearts before Him, bring Him every burden, and trust Him with the answer. (1 Samuel 1:9-18; Psalm 62:8; Philippians 4:6)

#2 KINGDOM FAITH RECOGNIZES GOD’S OWNERSHIP

When God answered Hannah’s prayer, she faithfully fulfilled her promise by dedicating Samuel to the Lord. Everything we have ultimately belongs to God, including our families, abilities, resources, and future. Our greatest desire should be to honor Him and advance His kingdom. (1 Samuel 1:27-28)

#3 KINGDOM INVESTMENT REQUIRES FAITHFUL INFLUENCE

Hannah continued to encourage Samuel faithfully as he served the Lord. God uses parents, grandparents, mentors, and the local church to shape the next generation for His glory. We may not control every outcome, but we can pray, teach, encourage, and model faithfulness. (1 Samuel 2:18-19; 2 Timothy 1:5)

#4 KINGDOM TRUST LEAVES THE FUTURE IN GOD’S HANDS

God blessed Hannah’s faithfulness and used Samuel to lead Israel during a critical time in its history. We may not see the full results of our faithfulness, but we can trust God to accomplish His purposes in His timing. (1 Samuel 2:20-21; Acts 3:24)

Bring your burdens to the Lord, trust Him faithfully while you wait, and keep investing in His kingdom. Keep praying, keep guiding, keep standing, and keep trusting God.
