On Sports Fix with Jason Pine for 11 May 2026, the proposed privately-backed NZ20 competition launch will be pushed back by one year, New Zealand Cricket confirmed today. In March, the NZ20 was chosen by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) as its preferred option for the future of the domestic game, but faced a tight deadline to be able to launch in January 2027 as hoped. NZ20 committee chair Don Mackinnon joins the podcast to discuss the postponement.
