Description
This educational reader tells the story of a young boy named Gerry who frequently tells his grandfather fantastical, imaginary tales about animals in strange places. Throughout the week, Gerry describes sightings such as a giraffe taking a bath and a snake eating cake, leading his grandfather to believe everything he says is simply make-believe. However, when Gerry insists there is a bear on the stairs on Friday, his claim turns out to be entirely true. The situation escalates until zookeepers arrive to lure the escaped animal away with a pink lollipop. In the end, the grandfather encourages Gerry to continue using his vivid imagination by writing his invented stories in a special book while remaining truthful in daily life. To aid young learners, the book includes vocabulary exercises, rhyming activities, and comprehension questions based on the narrative.
