When We Just Want Answers
Sometimes we just want someone to tell us
everything is going to be okay.
We want to know
if this relationship is going to last,
if the diagnosis will improve,
if the bills will get paid,
if things are ever going to feel normal again.
“He replied, ‘It is not for you to know the times or periods…’”

But most of those answers
do not arrive when we want them to.
And while we wait,
we still have choices.
We can shut down.
We can become bitter.
Or we can keep loving.
Keep helping.
Keep showing up for one another.
Maybe faith is not finally about having all the answers.
Maybe it is about learning
how to live with hope,
even while some questions remain unanswered.
