Description

Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson

Today on Just the Truth, we focus on two South Carolina organizations working to protect young people, strengthen families, and build healthier communities across the state.

First, Joey talks with Martine Helou about RIZE Prevention and their upcoming first-ever fundraising gala, “A Night to RIZE: All That Jazz.” After five years of mentoring young people, promoting prevention programs, and helping students make positive life choices, RIZE is celebrating a major milestone with an evening featuring live jazz music, New Orleans cuisine, auctions, awards, and NFL Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins as keynote speaker.

Then, Joey speaks with Chelby Drafts of Just Say Something about the organization’s statewide “Preserve Your Air” campaign in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Public Health. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of youth vaping and smoking while reaching more than 3 million South Carolinians through education, prevention, counseling, and family support services.

These conversations highlight the growing challenges facing families today—and the people stepping up to make a difference before young lives are impacted by addiction, mental health struggles, and destructive choices.
