Dublin City Council introduces four massive waste compactors in the north side, eliminating bin bags from 110 city-center streets. Starting May 11th, residents and businesses can use the compactors or opt for cargo bike pickup. This is phase two of a six-phase plan to clear bags from all 900 city streets by 2027, following the success of the south side trial in Temple Bar and St Stephens Green.
