Sl: Simon je stal na pomolu v Piranu, gledal čez modro, mirno morje.
En: Simon stood on the pier in Piran, looking out over the blue, calm sea.

Sl: Bilo je vreme pomladi; sonce je grelo hrbtišča, veter pa je prinašal svež morski zrak.
En: It was spring weather; the sun warmed his back, while the wind brought in fresh sea air.

Sl: Piranska obala je bila polna ljudi, ki so praznovali Letni festival soli.
En: The Piran coast was full of people celebrating the Annual Salt Festival.

Sl: Ulice so bile ozke, tlakovana tla so bila sijoča in mokra od jutranje rose.
En: The streets were narrow, the cobblestone pavements shiny and wet from the morning dew.

Sl: V zraku je bilo mogoče zaznati kombinacijo vonja morja in okusne morske hrane iz bližnjih kavarn.
