The Orlando Magic are at a crossroads after a third straight first-round Playoff loss. They exited their series with the Detroit Pistons with a clear challenge from their best player to make some necessary improvements.

The gauntlet is thrown entering the 2027 season.

But that improvement must start with the messenger. While Paolo Banchero expects a lot out of his teammates, the team's growth begins with him gaining more consistency. With a new coach incoming, Banchero has to lead the charge and buy in to the new system and become a better player for the Magic to take their next step.

It is a critical offseason for him and for the team.
