Tonight's game was decided by special teams. The penalty kill remained fantastic as always — including a short handed goal by Jalen Chatfield fed by Jordan Staal that completely swung the momentum — but the power play was the real difference with Staal and Andrei Svechnikov both notching man advantage goals. Nikolaj Ehlers then provided the ultimate dagger to cap off a big night for Carolina's marquee names. What made it even more impressive? Stankoven, Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake were all relatively quiet. The scoring depth on this team finally flexed in these playoffs. Can Carolina close it out Saturday? We'll find out Saturday.
