ASX soars, Aussie dollar at 4-year high on hopes of war’s end

The Australian sharemarket rose 0.96 per cent, amid hopes of a peace deal between the US and Iran. As a result, oil prices have dropped sharply – though remain above US$100 a barrel – and precious metal and commodity prices have risen.
