When We Forget We’re Not Alone
Sometimes there are moments
when it feels like we’re carrying everything by ourselves.
And over time,
that feeling can make us forget
that we were never meant to live alone.
In Gospel of John 14:18 we hear these words:
“I will not leave you orphaned;
I am coming to you.”
And the “you” here
is not just one person.
It is we.
The collective “us.”
A reminder
that we are not meant
to carry life alone.
We have been given one another.
And we are held by God
who remains present with us.
This reminds us
to reach for that connection.
To remember
that in difficult seasons,
love comes to us
through the presence of God
and through how we share with each other.

Peace be with you.
