Hurling royalty recognised great Eddie Keher at special night of appreciation in Hotel Kilkenny in recent days.
GAA stars such as Brian Cody, Noel Skehan, Babs Keating and Tommy Walsh, all shared their memories of Eddie as a hurler and a man.
Keher made his first senior championship appearance in the replay against Waterford and went on to play a key part for Kilkenny over several seasons, winning six All-Ireland medals, 10 Leinster medals and three National Hurling League medals.
The Rower-Inistioge clubman also has the unique distinction of being the only Leinster player with nine Railway Cup medals, including five in a row.
