May 6 | Who Jesus Really Is | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Season 2 Episode 468 Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description

Hey Carpool Crew! 🚗 Pastor Justin here, and today we’re tackling a big question: Is Jesus just a really good teacher… or is He actually God?

Today’s Big Truth: Jesus isn’t just a good teacher. He is God.

In John 8:58, Jesus says something that caught everyone’s attention: “Before Abraham was, I am.”

That might sound simple at first, but it was a huge statement. “I am” was the name God used for Himself in the Old Testament. So when Jesus said that, He wasn’t just saying He existed before Abraham. He was saying He is God.

We break that down in a way kids can understand, including a simple school example that makes it click.

Here’s why this matters for you today:

  • Jesus knows everything about you
  • Jesus has power over everything
  • Jesus’ love for you is real and personal

This isn’t just about knowing facts. It changes how you pray, how you trust Him, and how you live every day.

When you talk to Jesus, you’re talking to God. When you feel scared, God is with you. When you follow Jesus, you’re following the One who made everything.
