Episode 63 - "Chemistry Has To Mean Something"
Description
After a chaotic opening round full of Game 7s, a pair of 3-1 comebacks and several marquee performances across the postseason, Gavriel Wilkins and Torrence Stagger return to break down everything unfolding in Episode 63 of The New Twenty Four as the 2026 NBA Playoffs officially moves into the conference semifinal round.
The dynamic duo open by reflecting back on the seasons of several teams whose postseason runs came to an end in Round 1, including the Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics — discussing the year that was for each squad, offseason questions looming ahead and where each franchise must go from here.
From there, the conversation turns to the conference semifinals beginning with a Central Division clash between the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers, as Cade Cunningham prepares to battle the All-Star duo of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell.
While the guys also share their thoughts on the showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, discussing why the purple and gold may have a difficult road ahead regardless of whether or not Luka Dončić is able to return from his strained hamstring injury in time.
Before reacting to the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks renewing their rivalry in the second round, prior to shifting over to the battle between the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs featuring Anthony Edwards and Victor Wembanyama.
The guys then close things out discussing the latest news and storylines around the league, ranging from Masai Ujiri heading to the Dallas Mavericks front office and the Chicago Bulls hiring Bryson Graham as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
