In this episode, our man of God, Apostle Henry, continues to speak about the performance trap and how easily believers can fall into it through comparison and imitation.

He explains that comparison is not of God, because it leads us away from our true identity. When Satan desired to be like God, it became the origin of pride and deception (Isaiah 14:14, John 8:44). In the same way, we can fall into a similar trap when we constantly try to become like someone else instead of becoming who God created us to be.

Apostle Henry emphasizes that even though it is natural to admire others, we must not lose ourselves in trying to imitate them. You may look up to someone, but you will never be called to operate exactly like them, because your assignment, grace, and identity are unique.

He warns that the performance trap begins when we have not yet fully discovered who we are in Christ. Instead of walking in authenticity, we start copying others, thinking that is what is required of us—when in reality, God requires obedience, not imitation.

True growth in God comes when we are broken in humility, recognizing our need for Him, and allowing Him to form and transform us. God breaks to build, while the enemy breaks to destroy. In that process, we learn to let go of comparison and embrace contentment with what God has given us.

Ultimately, Apostle Henry reminds us that freedom comes when we stop performing for identity and start living from identity in Christ.
