Yay! I think I fixed my problem. It wasn't an overheating machine, it was a piece of software that has isues on Windows 10 boxes. If your machine ever slows to a crawl and doesn't respond, check to see if MyPhone is causing an issues. Goodness only knows why Microsoft requires it running but I removed it and now there are no more problems.
