I Am Halloween

I Am Halloween

Description
It's been a crazy few weeks here after my little trip (no pun intended) but I'm healing well :) Just stiff in some places. I've been shoveling gravel in the front yard all week because my HOA doesn't like me much and I had to cover the weed patch I was trying to turn into a lawn. I'm not much of a gardener. The desert is probably the best bet for any kind of gardening for me.I'm trying to make a cool studio in my home so I can do some live streaming on YouTube in a cool looking place. The only thing I've managed to get done are curtains so far. This is my son's room I'm remodeling and he has all kinds of stuff in here that boys tend to bring home sometimes when they want friends to hang out at their house. Extra furniture, for example. Oh yes, I'm having to get rid of a lot of stuff he didn't take with him nor does he want. I'm also going to get some new furniture for the room, paint the walls, and make it really cool. It's about 600 square feet I think? I'm going to divide it into thirds: an office area, the studio part, and a reading room of sorts with a pull out couch for if he visits. It's a huge project but finally coming along.I'm also saving up for a car. I don't have one. I want to take videos of old houses and graveyards or other spooky places for the videos on YouTube. I suppose this will be more of an issue if they monetize me. I have about 200 more hours to go before I can see if they will allow me to put commercials on my videos. It has taken about 7 months to work up to the 4000 hours which isn't too bad, but I already have some viewers from when I used to post a lot before YouTube did what it did. I'm happy they did though because that is the reason I started a podcast which I really love to do. Without YouTube raking me through the coals, I might not have done it or would have done it later. The podcast has brought me to my wonderful Patrons!Enjoy today's episode!Transcript for tonight's episode:Good evening, it's Spooky Boo. Tonight I have for you a creepy Halloween story. Remember, you never know who is behind the mask!Out here in Sandcastle, the weather is fair but I hear the moon will be full starting tomorrow morning. Be careful out there if you visit for this is when the new werewolves and the feral ones have little control over their impulses and shapeshifting. You could end up being dinner for a hungry few, or even worse, catch the curse yourself and be a dog forever. That would be such a drag on your wallet having to buy flea drops every few months or the urge to chase jackrabbits on all fours down the street for no reason at all. This program would not be possible without the listeners and the Patreon members including madjoe, P.A. I don’t want it to sound like I spend all year waiting for this day, just wiling away the hours with bated breath and anticipation; I would like to say that I have other interests, that I am able to find myself so engrossed in some human activity that I actually forget about the one day I can truly be myself. But this would be a lie. It’s an uncommon hour that I go without thinking about the thirty-first of October, that glorious night when I can step out into the cool air and almost – just almost – feel human. The last Halloween was perhaps my favorite. My favorite day hasn’t been the same since this area became occupied, since the human beings with their warm skin and their innocent minds began constructing ramshackle dwellings within the imaginary borders of what was once mine. When I say it wasn’t the same, I’m speaking quite literally: my favorite day was a different day before the humans came
