Ghosts of Her Victorian Past
Published 3 years, 1 month ago
Description
Good evening, it's Spooky Boo Rhodes from Sandcastle, California. Tonight I have for you a story from an anonymous source about a ghost from the 1800s haunting a Victorian house of an unsuspecting victim. While this story does not tell where it originated from, I suspect it might be one of the homes in Sandcastle. We have many spooky homes here with ghosts from the past. People who came to visit and never left. Families who stayed and were quietly left behind and forgotten. If you don't end up here after you've died and you are forever stuck between the gates of Heaven and Hell, then you have found purgatory. Welcome to the boundaries of another dimension.
Now, let's begin...
Julie had always wanted a house with a history, and when she found the old Victorian mansion on the outskirts of town, she knew it was the one for her. It was a beautiful old house, with creaky wooden floors and stained glass windows. It was also rumored to be haunted by a ghost from the 1800s.
Julie wasn't afraid of ghosts, though. She was excited by the idea of living in a house with a little bit of history and a bit of mystery. So she moved in, with her two cats, Ginger and Sage.
At first, everything was fine. Julie spent her days fixing up the house, painting the walls, and putting up new curtains. But then strange things began to happen. The first time it happened, Julie was hosting a dinner party for some friends. As they were sitting down to eat, one of her guests suddenly jumped up, crying out in pain. She had been slapped across the face, but there was no one there.
Julie was embarrassed and confused, but she didn't think too much of it. She assumed her friend had just imagined it, or perhaps she had hit herself accidentally. But then it happened again, a few weeks later, when Julie's mother came to stay. Her mother woke up in the middle of the night, screaming in pain. She had been scratched across her arm, leaving deep, red marks.
That's when Julie knew something was wrong. She started to research the history of the house and discovered that it had once belonged to a wealthy family in the 1800s. The wife had died of a mysterious illness, and her husband had become increasingly erratic and abusive towards his guests. He was rumored to have slapped and scratched people who visited the house, just as Julie's guests were now experiencing.
Julie was terrified, but she didn't want to leave her dream home. So she decided to confront the ghost. She waited until nightfall and then sat down in the living room, alone, with the lights off. She called out to the ghost, asking it to show itself.
At first, there was nothing. Julie sat there in silence, wondering if she had made a mistake. But then she heard a creaking sound, and the temperature in the room dropped. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain on her cheek, as if she had been slapped. She knew then that the ghost was real.
But instead of being afraid, Julie felt angry. She was angry that the ghost was hurting her guests and causing her so much stress. So she stood up and yelled at the ghost, telling it to leave her and her guests alone.
When Julie called out to the ghost, asking it to show itself, she didn't expect the consequences that followed. At first, there was nothing. The room was silent, and the temperature remained the same. Julie wondered if the ghost had heard her at all.But then she saw it. A faint, misty shape appeared in the corner of the room. Julie's heart raced as she realized that she was face-to-face with the ghost from the 1800s. It was the ghost of the former owner's husband, the one who had become erratic and abusive towards his guests.
The ghost didn't say anything, but Julie could sense its anger. Suddenly, the temperature in the room dropped, and Julie felt a chill run down her spine. Then, she heard a loud crashing sound from upstairs. She realized that the ghost had gone to attack her guests.
Julie ran upstairs to
