Chelsea 1 Nottingham Forest 3 match verdict | Staying up as second string shine!

Published 1Β month ago
Description

Nottingham Forest brilliantly beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge despite making eight changes as Vitor Pereira protected players for Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Aston Villa, who lost 2-1 to Spurs on Sunday night after putting in a terrible performance. There was no repeat from Forest's second string though as Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice and Igor Jesus scored a penalty. The win did come at a cost though as Zach Abbott and Morgan Gibbs-White went off with head injuries, with Abbott clearly concussed.
