Governor Tate Reeves had ordered lawmakers to return to the Capitol to redraw the state's current Supreme Court electoral map, pending the Supreme Court decision on voting rights. The high court ruled that Louisiana's voting districts map was an unconstitutional gerrymander. The ruling opens the door for state lawmakers to redraw Mississippi's congressional districts. But whether or not that will happen is unknown.
