“Humph. How will I get warm now?” George thought.

George did not feel upset about the rain, necessarily. Rain was part of life on Ahway Island. The flowers needed it. The trees needed it. But George was an old turtle, and he knew his body well.

When the sun went away and the cool rain came down, his body began to feel chilly. Now, the warmth he had enjoyed all morning was slipping away.

Today’s Meditation: Imagine drawing gentle shapes in the soothing sand as you relax before today’s story.
