A Prayer for When It Feels Like This Is All There Is

Loving God,

When something hard is happening,

it can feel like this is how it’s always going to be.

Like the moment we’re in

is all there is.

And in those moments,

it becomes difficult to see beyond

what is right in front of us.

We feel the weight of it—

the fear,

the anger,

the disappointment.

And yet,

your presence remains.

Not somewhere beyond what we’re facing—

but within it.

So draw us

beyond what is right in front of us—

not away from it,

but through it.

Help us to hold

faith,

hope,

and love.

And help us to trust

that this moment

does not have the final word.

Amen.
