Gordon Snell, childrens author and journalist, passed away peacefully at home at age ninety-three. Born in Singapore, he studied English at Oxford and worked for BBC before turning to writing. Snell published over seventy kids books and married Maeve Binchy in 1977. He stopped dedicating books after her death in 2012. A funeral service is set for May 5th at Mount Jerome, Dublin.
