In this episode Hutch sits down with Ryan Gibson to talk about a lesson from aviation that still shapes how Ryan makes business and investment decisions today.

As a pilot, Ryan learned that the responsibility ultimately falls on the person in command. Before accepting an aircraft or taking passengers into the sky, he had to be fully comfortable with the condition, the process, and the decision.

That same mindset applies to leadership, business, and investing. 💭

Sometimes discipline means moving forward.

Other times, discipline means setting the parking brake, asking better questions, and choosing not to do the deal. 🛑

Ryan’s reminder is simple but powerful:

There will always be another flight. There may also be another opportunity. But protecting trust, safety, and long-term judgment must come first.

That is a mindset every investor, leader, and decision-maker can learn from. 🧭
