Charley Johnson speaks to the debate around proposed Fargo convention center sites
Description
04/28/26: Charley is a committee member of the Fargo Convention Center Committee and former Executive Director of the FM Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Fargo City commissioners voted four to one to move forward with full financial vetting of the top two proposed convention center sites including Brewhalla and Fargo Civic Center.
The top four sites were ranked and selected by the Fargo Convention Center Committee. The committee started its work in January 2025 after voters approved a hotel sales tax increase to pay for the new convention center.
