RM Breakfast Show – A Reluctant Vocation and the Rosary Rally – Naoimh Barbieri and Fr Marius O’Reilly

Published 1 week, 4 days ago
Description

Naoimh welcomes Fr. Marius O’Reilly, the priest behind Totus Tuus magazine and the National Rosary Rally at Knock Shrine, now approaching its 41st year. Fr. Marius traces how his vocation emerged from a business career in London, a call he spent years avoiding until, at 31, he finally said yes and found the peace he hadn’t realised he was looking for. He describes Our Lady’s quiet presence through those years — pilgrimages to Fatima and Lourdes as a teenager, the rosary prayed at home, a sense of her in the background preventing him from certain roads. He previews the Rosary Rally on 6th June at Knock: Fr. Chris Alar [MIC] of the Divine Mercy Shrine in Massachusetts, Nikki Kingsley (a devout Muslim for 40 years who describes her reluctant conversion through Our Lady), Dana, Christine O’Hara, and others. The day will include elements of the First Saturday devotion — rosary, 15-minute meditation, Holy Communion and confession — all part of the pilgrimage.
