California man Cole Tomas Allen, 31, has appeared in a federal court in Washington DC.
Mr Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and most of the senior Cabinet were evacuated from a hotel ballroom after the breach on Saturday night, local time.
