നിറപകിട്ടിന്റെ ഒരു തൃശൂര് പൂരം കൂടി ജനമനസുകളില് പെയ്തിറങ്ങി. വെടിക്കെട്ട് ഒഴിവാക്കിയതും വെട്ടിച്ചുരുക്കിയ കുടമാറ്റവുമായിരുന്നു ഈ പൂരത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത. ഇലഞ്ഞിചുവട്ടിലെ മേളം കഴിഞ്ഞതോടെ പാറമേക്കാവ് വിഭാഗം ആദ്യം പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. പതിനഞ്ചാനപ്പുറത്ത് പാറമേക്കാവിലമ്മയുടെ തെക്കോട്ടിറക്കം ദൃശ്യാനുഭൂതിയായി. തിരുവമ്പാടി വിഭാഗം തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ തെക്കോട്ടിറങ്ങി. പ്രതീകാത്മകമായി കുടകള് മാറി.
Yet another colorful Thrissur Pooram has etched itself into the hearts of the people. This year's festival was unique due to the absence of the traditional fireworks display and a shortened Kudamattam (umbrella exchange) ceremony. Once the rhythmic ensemble at the Ilanjithara concluded, the Paramekkavu side was the first to emerge. The Thekkottirakkam (southern descent) of Paramekkavu Bhagavathy atop fifteen elephants was a magnificent visual spectacle. The Thiruvambadi side followed closely behind, and the umbrellas were exchanged symbolically
