In the recent HBO Harry Potter trailer we got to see something we’ve never seen before- our first glimpse at Harry’s grandparents on his mother’s side. They appear standing alongside Vernon & Petunia Dursley in their wedding photo, with (presumably) Vernon’s parents on one side, and Petunia’s parents (aka, LILY’s parents) on the other.

And with this new bit of info, it got me thinking- what DID happen to the rest of Harry’s family? Cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, second-cousins..What happened to them all? Were they casualties of war? And why did Harry HAVE to live with the Dursleys? Did he really not have one other blood relative? Not even..ONE?
