Episode Details

When she’s sixteen her mother dies and Bette becomes pregnant. She marries but is divorced after two years. Irresponsible, she becomes addicted to pot and parties, smuggles drugs from Mexico and is busted. She spends 30 days in jail but returns to drugs. She has a friend, Tracy, who parties with her and they try heroin and get mixed up with bikers. Trying to kick the habit, they go to church and Bette goes forward for salvation but doesn’t turn from her sin. She falls for a convict, Zack, in San Quentin and falls away from God. She and the biker marry but he is unfaithful and cruel. She leaves him after fifteen years. The first part ends when Tracy ends their friendship to kick drugs and Bette tries Meth.
