Episode Details

Roger is saved at 13 and studies chemistry, planning to teach in high school. Instead he’s recruited to teach at a Bible college where he meets Naomi. He’s drafted into the army where he works as a chemist, hears a Wycliffe call to teach the Bible in the Philippines and submits to God. He and Naomi apply to be missionaries. He’s accepted, she’s rejected. They marry anyway and both are approved. They go to Manila where their first son is born. The first part ends as they arrive in Banaue.
