Episode Details

Virginia’s mother dies, charging the ten-year-old to keep the six siblings together. Her dad abuses and neglects them. The next five years Virginia perseveres, feeding and watching over the family. Her dad is gone and doesn’t bring food or clothing. Their Sunday school teacher comes and shares the gospel. When she’s 12 and her brother Billy is 14, they receive Christ. Then Billy is killed in an accident. Virginia meets Lewis and they marry when she’s almost sixteen. She fulfills her mother’s charge, raising the children, praying for her dad. He repents at age 79 and lives with them till he dies.
