Episode Details

Ray’s mother is Jewish, his father a Gentile. Ray is ADHD and discovers surfing when he’s 13. He lives for the sport. After graduation he works in a bank where he meets Sue and they marry. He has everything; but death awakens him to the futility of life. A surfer friend leads him to Christ, and Ray enthusiastically makes converts of his mother and buddies. Zeal without knowledge. The first part ends as one of his “converts” dies from a drug overdose and Ray vows to help others.
