Norma is raised by foster parents but sees and loves her blood mother. Mischievous but determined, she goes to Bible college, then visits her dad in Oregon where she is bitten by mosquitoes and contracts a disease that puts her in a coma for seven weeks. Her foster mother cares for Norma, who is unable to speak, walk or even swallow. After 13 years she walks and learns to talk some, becoming a witness for God.
