Episode Details

Charles’ father dies of alcoholism, so his mother raises her children alone. Born again when he’s in high school, she persuades him to attend a tent revival where he and his fiancée, Eleanor are saved. They marry and Charles fights in World War II in North Africa and Anzio. After the war he attends Bible school and becomes a counselor to pastors and churches having conflict. He starts a ministry of reconciliation where he still counsels by phone at age 90.
