Description
This illustrated children’s book tells the story of Buddy, a human who was raised as an elf at the North Pole after crawling into Santa’s sack as a baby. Upon learning his biological father lives in New York City, Buddy travels through magical lands and the Lincoln Tunnel to find him. Although he struggles to fit into the modern world and even exposes a department store Santa as a fraud, he eventually meets a girl named Jovie and works to spread holiday cheer. The narrative reaches its climax on Christmas Eve when Buddy must help Santa repair his sleigh. By encouraging a large crowd to sing loudly, Buddy and his friends generate enough Christmas spirit to make the sleigh fly. The story concludes with Buddy successfully saving the holiday and reuniting with his family.
