Seahawks Day 1 Draft Reaction: Jadarian Price Pick and NFC West Rivals Under Fire

Published 1 day, 11 hours ago
Description
Before Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft kicks off, we are recapping Seattle's first-round selection of running back Jadarian Price. What happened to the idea of trading down and trying to get more picks in a draft where the Seahawks only had four? Now, with only three picks left, should Seattle still trade back for more volume or package picks to move up and improve hit rates? Will this be a need-based draft where the Seahawks look to cornerback and safety? Or will they focus on the talent availalbe on offensive or defensive line? We also look back at Day 1 to critique our NFC West rivals, including Arizona's heavy guaranteed money at running back, the Rams drafting quarterback Ty Simpson setting up some internal turmoil, and the 49ers trading back repeatedly without making a pick.
