It's the overhaul the federal government hopes will make the National Disability Insurance Scheme sustainable well into the future.
At the National Press Club yesterday, the federal health Minister Mark Butler announced that about 160-thousand people will be shifted from the scheme by the end of the decade - with every participant expected to be re-assessed.
Minister Butler also announced the government wants to reduce the total cost of social and community support as part of a series of changes to the scheme.
